FAQ: What's the difference between the Brymill LN2 Withdrawal Tube and Brymill LN2 Withdrawal Device?

ANSWER: Brymill withdrawal tube is mostly recommended for 5 or 10 liter tanks. This withdrawal tube is used to draw off Liquid Nitrogen from a Storage Dewar and refill a Cryogenic Spray Unit. When the Tube is inserted into the Dewar the heat from the brass sleeve causes the Liquid Nitrogen to boil off. Completing the seal between the neck of the Dewar and the Withdrawal Tube Plug results in instant pressurization. This allows the Liquid Nitrogen flow from the filtered end of the Tube. Liquid Nitrogen will only stop when the Tube itself reaches the same temperature of the Nitrogen or the Tube is removed from the Dewar. Once the refill process is complete, you simply remove the withdrawal tube from the tank and put the cap back on to the dewar.

The Brymill Withdrawal Device on the other hand is suggested for 20, 30 or 50 liter tanks. You install the withdrawal device on to your tank and transfer the LN2 to your cryogun through the valve as needed. So you don't have to remove the device from the tank on every refill of your cryogun unlike the withdrawal tube. This gives tremendous convenience to the medical personnel.
